The UNC School of Social Work commemorated National Disability Awareness Month this Friday during their third annual legacy speaker series event, “Thriving with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Across the Lifespan.” The event brought together social workers and community stakeholders at the Friday Conference Center for a series of panel discussions and conversations to discuss IDD-related challenges and enhance community knowledge.
The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy participated in the event to share information about the IDD Parent Advocacy study with those in attendance – from community organizations to practitioners looking to better assist their neurodiverse patients.
